Human health in a warming world

11 November 2022
European Union

The changing climate and the resulting environmental change result in more intense and more frequent extreme weather events, which affect human health through heatwaves, floods, storms, shifting in the spatial range of vector, food and water-borne diseases, and air pollution. This session aims to focus on four areas of the relationship between the changing climate and human health: emerging infectious diseases, heat-related human mortality, climate mitigation and air pollution, and the youth perspective of climate change and human health.
